On December 7-8, 2023, the EduGame project held its first official online kick-off meeting via Microsoft Teams, hosted by Vytautas Magnus University. The meeting brought together representatives from partner universities across Europe and beyond to discuss the project’s objectives, timeline, and upcoming milestones.

- Judita Kasperiuniene (VMU) outlined the project’s goals and provided a detailed timeline, with an emphasis on deliverables due within the next 3-6 months. The team agreed to focus on key outputs, which will be revisited during the in-person meeting in Kaunas in January 2024.
- A clear structure for project governance was established, with the formation of a 9-member Consortium Committee representing each partner institution. Collaboration and communication channels were discussed, along with risk mitigation strategies.
- Non-EU partners, including Tunisia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Albania, were appointed as management co-leaders. The curricula that will be modernized were presented by colleagues from Tunisia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Albania: Lilia Cheniti Belcahdi (US); Mourad Jridi (UJ); Emina Junuz (UNMO); Vildana Pečenković (UNBI); Meljana Bregu (UT); Elvira Fetahu (UNIEL).Olga Avramenko (VMU) led a discussion on the structure of Consortium Agreements. Universities selected the most appropriate funding schemes, with further work to be done individually with the project coordinator.
- Natalija Mazeikiene (VMU) introduced the project’s Dissemination Toolkit and website, which will be key for engaging stakeholders. The team agreed to finalize the project logo at the next meeting.
The meeting concluded with plans for a physical kick-off event on January 10-11, 2024, at Vytautas Magnus University in Kaunas, Lithuania. This will allow further collaboration and finalization of key elements of the project.
